Background, why do I do this?

I guess because everyone else is. I also think a coding diary can help me estimate how much work I put into this project and just might get me a job as well. I am, after all, a dedicated and skilled software engineer.

Today (even if I am writing this almost a week later) I got my account at Lysator reopened after a cracker attack last spring (took me a while to find a root to reopen it). I ended up logging in to NannyMUD and check out my old area there (called Dormin) and since I had a lot of plans for that area in the form of old maps, I wanted to give it a try.

Working in telemarketing tends to make me depressed and turn my brain to Grey Goo, withing 24 hours I realized that hacking (as in coding, if you think hacking should be illegal, follow the link) is my drug of choice. My brain over night turned from a clueless Grey Goo to a burning fire of ideas and enthusiasm.

Saturday was mostly spent on other projects, like deleting 2500 spams from my emailbox.
